The first part of this book contains the basis of aromatherapy: history, extraction methods, quality criteria, information on chemotypes, the relation between biochemical composition and therapeutic properties, proper storage conditions, how to mix formulas, routes of administration and safety precautions.
The second part constitutes the heart of this manual. In it, you will find formulas to help treat many pathologies, as well as a listing of various health problems, English-Latin and Latin-English equivalency charts and a listing of therapeutic properties.
The third part of this book is a gold mine of information on essential oils. Each oil has its own monograph, containing a description of its botanical and biochemical characteristics, as well as a listing of its properties and indications. This information is reliable, as long as the essential oils used are of the highest quality.

Résumé
For several years, Dominique Baudoux, whose passion is essential oils, has been using his knowledge and expertise in some of his preferred fields of applications which all have to do with the relationship between mankind and nature.
Coming from a family of several generations of pharmacists, he grew up in a world in which in-depth and rational knowledge of aromatherapy remedies are closely linked with recommendations based on a global approach of man towards disease (rather than a more restricted one).
Managing Director of a company specialized in aromatherapy, he also teaches this discipline in Europe, Quebec, Japan and Taiwan on behalf of several naturopathy schools.
He also lectures in various international meetings: The Aromatherapy
Symposium in Grasse, Congrès Odenth in Perpignan, Phytoaromatherapy Congrès in Montpellier. Author of several books for the general public and for professional training, he also writes bi-monthly information bulletins.
This is quite a programme for life within a society looking for a new medical approach, not restricted to the pathology as such, but which also considers the unique nature and specificities of each and every individual.
